SKI ARLBERG
For those who prefer something more exclusive and larger, the Austria's largest contiguous ski area – Ski Arlberg – A whole new dimension of skiing: 305 kilometers of ski runs and 88 state-of-the-art lifts and cable cars stretching from St. Anton, St. Christoph, and Stuben through Zürs and Lech all the way to Schröcken and Warth. Ski enthusiasts can expect the best snow conditions from December through April, because Warth-Schröcken is considered the ski resort with the most natural snow in Europe. Should there ever be a shortage of natural snow, a state-of-the-art snowmaking system is available.
The best part: The Free ski bus takes all winter sports fans there in just a few minutes directly from the hotel ...quick and easy access to the lifts.
Tobogganing
Tobogganing and sledding are great fun for the whole family. In the Lechtal Nature Park region, there are several toboggan runs for tobogganing enthusiasts of all ages. Night tobogganing on a lighted run is a truly special, unforgettable experience.
Ski touring
Far away from the hustle and bustle of alpine skiing, the Lech Valley offers beautiful off-piste routes for ski tourers. Unforgettable powder runs included! However, anyone venturing off-piste with skins on their skis for the first time should only do so accompanied by a professional guide. It’s essential to be familiar with the local snow, weather, and avalanche conditions.
Cross-country skiing
Cross-country skiers in the Lech Valley can enjoy a varied and perfectly groomed network of trails. The cross-country and skating trails cover approximately 190 km and take you through the entire valley, set against a breathtaking natural backdrop. You can rent cross-country skiing equipment from local rental shops. Both beginners and experienced cross-country skiers have the option of booking a professional guide. Feel free to ask at the front desk. Our highlight: The trailhead for the cross-country ski trail is right next to the hotel.
Snowshoeing
A special nature experience for all winter and nature lovers off the slopes. 34 marked winter hiking trails covering about 132 kilometers take you through snow-covered forests, along the Lech River, or up to breathtaking views of our popular alpine pastures and huts. Refreshments are definitely provided! With a valid guest card—which you can get from us—you can take the buses for free to your starting points and back again.
Ice Sports
Family fun at the ice rinks with a breathtaking view of the Tyrolean mountains—that’s what the various ice rinks in the area have to offer: Elbigenalp, Häselgehr, Elmen, and Holzgau. Curling is also available at all of these rinks.
Mountain Huts & Alpine Pastures
